The following code of conduct outlines the expectations for behavior within our programs and facilities. By participating in KT Delgado Tennis activities, you agree to abide by these standards:
Respect for Others
– Treat all participants, coaches, staff, and spectators with respect, fairness, and courtesy.
– Abstain from the use of harsh, abusive, or derogatory language.
– Respect the diversity of our community, embracing differences in gender, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, and ability.
Sportsmanship
– Display good sportsmanship at all times. Congratulate opponents in victory and defeat graciously.
– Resolve conflicts without resorting to violence or insults.
– Accept the decisions of the coaches and officials respectfully and without dispute.
Safety and Health
– Follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by coaches and staff to prevent injuries.
– Report any unsafe conditions or equipment to staff immediately.
– Maintain personal hygiene and come prepared with proper attire and equipment for tennis activities.
Integrity and Honesty
– Play fairly and follow the rules of the game, refraining from cheating or any form of dishonest behavior.
– Be punctual for training sessions and matches.
– Notify the coach or staff in advance if unable to attend a scheduled session.
Responsibility
– Take responsibility for your actions on and off the court.
– Keep the facility clean and tidy; dispose of trash in the designated bins.
– Handle all facilities and equipment with care to prevent damage.
Positive Engagement
– Encourage and support fellow players.
– Engage in activities and training with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and improve.
– Avoid the use of electronic devices such as smartphones during sessions unless required for training purposes or emergencies.
Privacy and Confidentiality
– Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information about fellow players or staff without their explicit consent.
– Be discreet and respectful when discussing team dynamics or individual players outside of the training environment.
Compliance with Policies
– Adhere to all organizational policies and guidelines, including those related to payment schedules, cancellation procedures, and the handling of equipment.
Enforcement
– Violations of the code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion from the program.
– Repeated or severe breaches of conduct will be addressed on a case-by-case basis and may involve consultation with parents or guardians where applicable.
